Dhamaka Review: Should you skip it or stream it?

Dhamaka, an RSVP production now streaming on Netflix stars Kartik Aaryan as lead. Directed by Ram Madhvani, Dhamaka is a movie copied scene by scene from the Korean movie ‘The Terror Live’. The movie revolves around an anchor who gets demoted from prime-time anchor to a radio jockey. One day he gets an unknown call during his show from a person who threatens to blow up the Worli Sea Link bridge. Thinking of it as a prank call, after a few minutes, he witnesses a blast. Arjun being an opportunist sees that call as an opportunity to reclaim his previous job back. Unaware of the consequences, he gets stuck between his dwindling career and his morals. With lives at stake, does Arjun choose his career or the people held hostage on the bridge is what makes the crux of the movie.

Controversial three farm laws repealed!

Today, on the auspicious day of Gurupurab, PM Narendra Modi apologized to his countrymen and said “ We have decided to repeal all three farm laws, will begin the procedure at the Parliament winter session that begins this month. I urge farmers to return home to their families and let’s start afresh”.

Since November 26, 2020, Indian farmers mostly from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, have been protesting at the national capital’s borders demanding the repeal of the farm laws. After several talks between the government and the farmer unions, they failed to come to a mutual decision. Therefore, the protests didn’t end and the Supreme court stayed the implementation of three farm laws.
